Understanding Your Bill
Your Bill
Your monthly statement shows the billed amount for kilowatt hours used. It also has other helpful information, including your usage over a 12-month cycle and the "important message" section that allows us to communicate with our members.

- Average kilowatt-hour usage and cost per day: This area shows your days of service for that period. You will be able to use the bar graph to determine your high and low months of usage.
- Service location: This is the physical address where service is located.
- Billing dates: Bill Date reflects the bill print date and the Due Date reflects the latest date the bill should be paid.
- Important Information: Contains important information such as phone number for reporting outages and pertinent company messages.
- Electric Billing Summary: Indicates previous and present meter readings and the kilowatt-hour usage for your current statement. This also gives current billing charges, previous statement charge, payments and adjustments on your account regarding your statementas well as payment due dates. Franchise Fee is a fee imposed by your local municipality.
- Ancillary Services Summary: This section gives current security charges including: equipment charges, service calls and monitoring charges as well as current charges for your home appliance repair program (CHAMP).
- Total due: Total monthly charge for your statement due upon receipt.
- Account number: This is your Palmetto Electric Cooperative account number. Please refer to this number when calling or e-mailing our office.
- Billing Address: Mailing address for your billing statement.
- Scan Lines: The scan lines will expedite statement payments at district offices.
