Economic Development
Palmetto Electric has taken a leadership role in fostering economic development and progress
for South Carolina's Lowcountry. We work hand-in-hand with local economic development groups in
Jasper, Hampton and Beaufort counties, as well as statewide groups like the Palmetto Economic
Development Corporation.
Examples of our efforts are the New River Center Industrial Park
and the Jasper County Development Board's opening of Cypress Ridge
Business and Industrial Park -- and
Buckwalter, a master planned development in Beaufort County.
Palmetto representatives take an active role in attracting new industries to our area. We take this
role very seriously, because we know that new industry means new jobs, and new jobs mean greater
prosperity and better quality of life for our friends and neighbors.
