How Can Palmetto Electric Offer These Benefits?
The H2O Select water heater provides plenty of hot water when you need it, and it operates only during off-peak hours, when demand for electricity is lowest. That saves Palmetto Electric money, and we pass the savings on to you.
How Do I Qualify?
There are two easy ways:
- Replace your current water heater with a new electric model and get
cash back - up to $350 - from us.
- Select our Turn Key
option where we'll purchase and install a new one for you for a nominal monthly fee spread over five years.
That's all there is to it!
What Are My H2O Select Options?
Cash Rebates
You replace your old water heater and get cash back! *
$250 for a new 80-gallon or larger electric water heater.
$150 for a new 50 to 79-gallon electric water heater.
$100 for a new Heat Pump water heater with 50-gallon or larger storage tank.
$100 for a new Solar water heater with 50-gallon or larger storage tank.
Conversion bonus: Get an extra $100 if you switch from gas to electric water heating.

We’ll make all the arrangements for you and make the payments easy!
We provide the energy efficient electric water heater and standard replacement labor.
You pay nothing up front! ** Choose from:
- 1. A standard water heater with a six-year manufacturer's warranty.*** Your cost is only $15 per month for 60 months.

For all new residential construction, call Palmetto or ask your builder for details specific to your neighborhood.
Be sure to ask your builder to install a Marathon Water Heater with a lifetime warranty.

Free Water Heater Repair Service
In addition to the benefits from the above options, we provide a free, full coverage repair service for your water heater during the first five years the off-peak switch is in place.****
How Do I Cash In On The H20 Select?
- Contact any Palmetto Electric office and ask to speak with an H2O Select representative. We will determine the best water heating option and tank size for your home.
- Contact a plumber to install your new water heating system, or let PEC make all the arrangements for you through the Turn Key option. (Remember to always meet local codes and PEC's Installation Requirements).
- Let us know when your water heater is installed. We will then arrange to connect the off-peak switch to your water heater and have you sign the Agreement, which indicates that you will participate in the H2O Select program for a minimum of 10 years.
