Central Electric Power
Cooperative, the generation
and transmission co-op for
Palmetto Electric Cooperative
and other distribution
co-ops around the state, is
a major sponsor of the site.
Cooperatives want to help
teachers and students learn
about producing electricity
with renewable sources that
are environmentally responsible
and economically
reasonable. The co-ops will
work with teachers in building
lesson plans and training
students to use the website
as a source of information.
