Awareness is a priority to Palmetto Electric ... and to Linny
the Lineman, our safety mascot. It is our never-ending
goal to educate our members and the community at-large about
the potential dangers and hazards associated with electricity.
Annually, the co-op sponsors Safety
Days, designed to teach children ages 6 through 11 about
hunting safety, fire safety, self-defense and electrical safety.
Palmetto Electric also takes its safety demonstrations into
local schools and day care centers to reach as many children
in the community as possible. Linny
the Lineman, Palmetto Electric's safety mascot, is a much-requested
presence at educational functions as well as local festivals.
Palmetto Electric also offers electrical safety programs to local businesses. Our Safety Coordinator will demonstrate to your employees the dangers of working around electrical equipment. To set up an appointment please call Fran Achille at 843-208-5562.
