From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Palmetto Electric Cooperative has remained committed to providing safe and reliable electric service, as well as protecting our employees, members and community.
In response to Governor McMaster’s announcement of South Carolina’s “accelerateSC” plan, Palmetto Electric Cooperative will reopen our district office lobbies, beginning June 1, with a strong focus on safety. If you are planning to visit one of our lobbies, please keep the following guidelines in mind.
- Lobbies will be clearly marked with signs placed on the floor, notifying members to practice social distancing by staying 6 feet apart, with hand washing and social distancing signs in restrooms etc.
- Members coming into the lobbies will be limited to only (2) family members per household.
- Additional signage will be placed at each office notifying members of occupancy limits and social distancing guidelines. Members may have to wait outside before entering in order to ensure the safety of both our members and employees.
Palmetto Electric Cooperative will resume normal billing and operations procedures on June 8. Any late fees incurred after June 8 will not be waived. If you have any questions concerning your electric account or lobby procedures, feel free to contact us at 843-208-5551 or 1-800-922-5551.
