The design, performance and safety of today’s SPDs are pretty much defined by the ANSI/UL 1449 standard.  If the product is listed for purpose then it will meet the requirements for the operating environment and will provide protection to the equipment.

Will Surge Guard help protect a pool/well pump or sprinkler system?
