Satisfied members make working at Palmetto Electric the ‘best’

PALMETTO ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and SCBIZ Magazine. There were 75 total companies named to the list, and Palmetto Electric finished 42nd in the Small/Medium Employer category (15-249 employees).

There are several factors that contribute to making a company a ‘Best Place to Work,’ but we are most grateful for a sound governing body in our Board of Directors, a committed team of leaders and a hard-working group of employees that care about our members.

In addition to being named one of the Best Places to Work, Palmetto Electric also received a score of 91, a tie for our highest score on record, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI). This score ranks Palmetto Electric in the top two percent of all electric cooperatives in America. Each year, this score is highly anticipated, as it reflects our members’ satisfaction.

We are honored to serve you, our members, and are thankful for a dedicated group of employees that believes in our core values of integrity, accountability, commitment to community, teamwork, safety and innovation. As we recognize National Co-op Month in October, we celebrate the cooperative difference and the values that make Palmetto Electric and other cooperatives unique among power providers.
