Palmetto Electric Community Rooms

Palmetto Electric Cooperatives offers use of its Community Rooms to non-profit, civic organizations, ONLY. Community Rooms are located at the Hilton Head, Ridgeland and New River offices. Community Rooms are free to use, however, reservations, a signed contract, and a valid 501c3 are required. 

The Hilton Head Community Room is currently CLOSED. 

Community Room Reservations

  • Contact Palmetto Electric Cooperative by phone or by email.

  • Provide a valid 501c3.

  • Review, sign and return the contract. 


Community Room Guidelines

  • Use of the Community Room is limited to nonprofit civic organizations.

  • No other room or area is to be utilized for meetings by outside groups.  Offices and lobbies are off-limits.  

  • The Community Room may be scheduled for only one group at any given time.

  • Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • A three-hour limit for meetings will be enforced unless otherwise approved by management.  A thirty-minute grace period between meetings will be observed. 

  • Groups will be responsible for cleaning the room. This includes returning tables and chairs to their original order, cleaning tables, REMOVING TRASH, and turning off the lights when leaving the room. 

  • No articles may be left on the premises.  Articles brought in must be removed following each meeting unless otherwise approved by management.  Should this be approved, Palmetto Electric Cooperative will not be responsible for any such articles left in the room.

  • Use of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.

  • Palmetto Electric Cooperative is a smoke-free facility.  Smoking is prohibited in the Community Room.

  •  Palmetto Electric Cooperative will not be responsible for any food items left in the kitchen.

  • Any advertisement for a public meeting needs to be approved by Palmetto Electric Cooperative before publication.  

  • Palmetto Electric Cooperative reserves the right to change a scheduled meeting if the need arises for the cooperative to use the community room on that date.

  • Palmetto Electric Cooperative, Inc. reserves the right to refuse the use of the community room to any group and the right to be present at any meeting held in the community room.

  • Reservations may not be made for recurring meetings more than one year in advance.  Reservations for such meetings will be taken during the month of October, prior to each calendar year.  Priority will be given to new groups wishing to use the room, should more than one group request the room at a particular time.

  • No items may be hung on the walls (banners, posters, etc.).

  • Palmetto Electric Cooperative's Community Rooms have limited maximum capacities.

    • Ridgeland Community Room (4063 Grays Hwy) is limited to a maximum capacity of (75).

    • New River Community Room (1 Cooperative Way) is limited to a maximum capacity of (120).

  • Park in Community Room parking lot ONLY. No parking in front of the building during work hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM).  No parking on grass, in the employee parking area, or in the drive-thru.

    • Ridgeland Community Room has 45 parking spots.

    • New River Community Room has 63 parking spots. 

  • Group participants will follow all safety, warning drills, or alarm activations such as fire alarms.

  • Very Important: Upon leaving the building, please call dispatch and have the doors locked behind you.
