Jenny Ballard Opportunity Scholarship

The WIRE Opportunity Scholarship is awarded to a woman who may not have been able to attend college when she graduated from high school, but now wants to further her education. WIRE (Women Involved in Rural Electrification) awards the scholarship based on financial need and personal goals.

Palmetto Electric WIRE

WIRE (Women Involved in Rural Electrification), a women’s organization of Palmetto Electric Cooperative, Inc., will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship in our three-county service area. High School seniors living in southern Beaufort, Jasper or Hampton counties have a shot at the WIRE scholarship, which rewards applicants with average or better grades who demonstrate financial need.

PET Scholarship

The purpose of the Palmetto Electric Trust Scholarship Program is to assist qualified students in pursuit of a post-secondary education who demonstrate financial need and willingness to learn.

Virtual Youth Experience

The Virtual Youth Experience will take place June 21-25, in place of the COVID-cancelled Washington Youth Tour and Cooperative Youth Summit. Six high school sophomores or juniors will be selected and sponsored by Palmetto Electric Cooperative. Students will have the opportunity to discuss today’s issues with state and federal leaders from the comfort and safety of their homes using computers and mobile devices.
